I want to leave everything behind and start over, does anyone have an opinion on my idea?

Wait till your out of the military. Or you will end up facing jail time. And they will extradite you from another country. It is the military, normal extradition bs is out the window. They will come for you and you will get caught. In two years if you wanna go about your merry way, have at it.

just be sure to be financially set before you take off bro.
it would suck to have an adventure that turns you into a hobo, you know?
otherwise i say go for it,
live YOUR life

i would wait till’ you’re contract is done.
then sell everything that isn’t sentimental, and go to new zealand or australia. (because that is what makes you happy, correct?) you can buy new things on a new adventure.
you do what makes you happy. don’t ask question on Y! Answers or anywhere else. you just do it.

You can start over some place else, but unless you change your life, it will remain the same.

I don’t think that is very uncommon. I have even had those thoughts myself. BUT just remember–The grass in not always greener on the other side. I am thinking you might be dissatisfied anywhere after a time. But just keep looking for whatever you are searching for–and hopefully you will find it some day. Good Luck

Take the next 2 years of your contract and plan to change your life from then. New Zealand and Australia would be great places to start, they are two of the best countries in the world for ‘freedom living’. Just make sure that you are in a good financial state…LIVE IT!!

You can run….but you can’t hide.
If you ’start over’ you will probably make the same
mistakes again for years to come. You are growing older,
you have some experience behind you. Learn by that
experience. We all make mistakes and hate ourselves for them.
As the saying goes…start each day as the beginning of
the rest of your life.
Good luck

I knew a girl from Canada… and she loved to travel. So she would work a boring job at the grocery store in order to save up money for a year long adventure.
And when she worked overtime, she would think— this is my money for food while I’m on the road.. so she was really motivated to work.
She traveled for a year in Australia… and then she went back to Canada saved up money for a year and then traveled for 6 months in Europe back-packing.
So what I suggest you do….. is while you are working in the military… save up your money for just one long period of travel when you get out! And save up as much money as you can because then you can be on the road longer and go where ever you want……..
So you working now has a purpose– MONEY.
And you will definitely enjoy all that back-packing travel in 2 years.
